Penn Waste's Holiday Collection Information and Schedule Change Notices
If a collection is missed due to a holiday, collection shall be made upon the next regularly scheduled day. Holiday notices are advertised in the following papers:

Inclement Weather Policy
Penn Waste broadcasts on the following stations for weather-related emergencies:

- Storm Watch: WHP 580 AM, 97.3 RIVER FM, 94.9 BOB FM, 99.3 KISS FM, WHP TV-21 CBS, WLYH- TV-15, WGAL TV-8
Large Item Information (As Received from Penn Waste, Inc.)
- Tree Branches & Brush: Must be bundled and tied, not exceeding 48 inches in length.
- Scrap Metal: Pieces should not exceed 48 inches in length.
- Carpet: Sections must be cut to a maximum length of 48 inches.
- Large Items:
- One mattress and one box spring count as a single large item.
- Two standard vehicle tires count as one large item. For truck tire information, please contact Penn Waste.
- One piece of furniture is considered a large item.
- One appliance constitutes a large item.
Please Note: Electronics are not accepted in the large item collection.

Household Hazardous Waste
The York County Solid Waste Authority (YCSWA) conducts several collection events annually. These events are advertised in local newspapers. For detailed information, call 717-845-1066 or visit the YCSWA website.
Electronic Equipment Recycling
YCSWA accepts electronic equipment Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The drop-off location is the Yard Waste Transfer Facility at 2651 Blackbridge Road, off Flour Mill Road in Manchester Township.
